2002 Race Results
Peter Park demolished the course record by over 17 minutes. The previous record of 6:05:31 was set by Ben Hian in 1997. Peter just missed the record in 1999 when he ran 6:08:52, and then missed it again last year when he did 06:06:07. In 2002 he clearly set the record straight! Tania Pacev missed the women's record by less than a minute! She looked fresh and strong at the finish. The record, set by Julie Arter in 2000, is 7:22:45.
